Schools Out

Today was another sightseeing day. We went to an academy where we saw a fabulous music performance. I believe they said Confucious either studied or taught here. It is a very famous school in China, not just the province.
After that, Michael brought us to a fantastic place for lunch. A little more expensive than the average meals we have been getting with him, but actually it was worth it... the food was amazing. lots more veggies than we usually get which was good too.

We came back to the hotel after lunch and it was time to give our little bean a bath... then it was nap time for all. We were so totally exhausted, that we fell asleep around 2pm and didn't really wake up again until 7pm. Funny how just going out walking around a little makes us so tired. I think it has to do with the air quality and lack of oxygen getting to the brain.

Anyway, we opted to skip dinner tonite. I was still full from lunch! Tommy had my leftovers from the other day, which was really just a light snack for him.

Oh, and I took LOTS of pictures of Rachel today, so everyone can stop yelling at me! I will be sending out the snapfish invites again... :-)

In the meantime, here are a few of todays highlights...

Thanks for all the great pics of Rachel in the snapfish. One of my favorites is the one where she is sitting on the bed with her arms above her head. I also like the one where she is asleep on Tommy's legs. She looks so happy and content. What a cutie.

Thank you for sending all those pics! I LOVE seeing them. Rachel is just sooo adorable and so in love with you two! I, too, LOVE the one where she's asleep on Tommy's legs..priceless!! She has a beautiful smile!! You two obviously are doing an amazing job with her and she feels your love! Amazing how you can love someone you've only "known" for a few days huh? I still think the wait makes the love an instant thing..amazing how it is so instant for the babies!! Hey, I would like to see the other babies too, if possible. I just think they are all gorgeous and like to see them...just put that on your list of things to take pictures of!! HAHAAHA BTW...awesome job with the pictures!! Well, get rest and I am counting down until the day you get to leave and bring Rachel to her FOREVER home...and until the day she's an American citizen!! Look forward to more pictures!! Thanks again for sending them to me!! Makes me smile to see the email!!!

Our Story

My photo
We are the proud parents of a beautiful little girl. I have not stopped smiling since the moment they placed her in my arms. We adopted her Sept 2008 and it's been nothing but wonderful! She is the best reason to open my eyes every day! Currently living in SW Florida. I've also become a MAJOR Twilight junkie, so now I'm told I'm a TWI-MOM & I LOVE it!
